Do you need to be a tankie to recognize a rigged system?
Over the past 50 years, wages have stagnated while productivity has soared.
If the economy gets more efficient and people are worse off, they will begin to reject the system. More and more polls show that the average person is getting more jaded about the political process.
Besides reading up on economic figures myself, I've heard people across the political spectrum acknowledge this and show some resentment towards government.
No, but proposing to destroy a system in which you are presumably living relatively comfortably, in exchange for something else is some extremely privileged bullshit to say. E.g. go tell that to the people in Niger.

The whole point of people saying this is that they aren't living comfortably.
How is it "privileged" to think things are so bad that you'd want to destroy the whole system? It's the opposite: those with privilege prefer the status quo.

Niger is often listed as the very poorest country in the world, or at least in among the 5 poorest.
If you have to look for the poorest country to make the point that this system is better, that highlights exactly how bad things have gotten.
