It is extremely coincidental that Israel made these accusations the day the ICJ made its judgement.
Literally hours after!
It is both wild and horrifying to watch the scale and expediency at which the narrative is shaped and so quickly agreed upon as fact.
Jan 17—9 days before ICJ trial:
State Dept. Spox Matt Miller: "UNRWA has done and continues to do invaluable work to address the humanitarian situation in Gaza at great personal risk to UNRWA members…over 100 UNRWA staff members have been killed doing this lifesaving work."
Not just that. Israeli politicians have openly started scheming for the destruction of UNRWA about a month ago such as the woman in this video.. They're doing absolutely nothing to hide it, yet our media just never mentions this
Combined with the fact that there is zero actual evidence being provided by israel and some of their "evidence" was made under torture, it's looking pretty sketchy.
Though 13 out of the 30.000 is such a small number that it is possible, and it pretty much directly proves that it isn't systemic.
It is extremely coincidental the director of UNRWA announced they terminated the employment of 9 employees during the ICJ hearing.
Almost like he was trying to bury the news.
Even IF (and that's a mountain sized if) the timing of the announcement was an attempt to bury the story, that would actually be a good thing.
It would be a good thing to try to avoid that the unproven allegations of a party to the conflict (with a track record of constant lying and a clear agenda of stopping all aid to Gaza) against a dozen aid workers harm the 15.000 other aid workers and the millions of Palestinian civilians who desperately depend on their aid.
Most of the reactions happening right now are despicable. Countries are withholding funding for vital aid to victims of genocide, famine and disease outbreaks with little to no access to medical care based on unproven claims from known liars with a publicly declared policy of lying and fabricating evidence when "necessary".
Spain should be the rule here, not the exception.
