I read somewhere recently that she was not alone in that airplane. She had a man co-pilot. Is this true or not?

So why was Amelia Earhart famed for being the first woman to fly solo around the world? She was not solo.
6 1 ReplyBecause she wasn't. She was the first woman to fly Solo across the Atlantic. The fated flight would have seen her become the first woman to Fly around the world, no mention of being Solo.
