If you try restarting your phone it should work. Apples app icon switching is pretty buggy.
Yep, it did aha. I just switched it back to the custom icon I like (Planetary 🤩) so that should work when I next switch it off again :)
That bug has been there since the release of custom icons and it’s never been fixed by Apple. Every app has that issue, it’s annoying.
No need to delete. Someone else might find it helpful
