Just had to Google it myself. His ex has released a bunch of texts supposedly from him showing that he was pretty crazy towards her. Apparently she's a surf instructor? He was demanding that she never post anything on her Instagram in her swimsuit.. which was a one piece even.. and that she wasn't allowed to Surf with men among other things.
In the grand scheme of things I guess it could be worse when it comes to things coming out about celebrities but still pretty disappointing cuz I like him.
You can’t tell from her point of view only whether or not what he asked of her was fair. And even if she did feel it was unfair then they weren’t compatible and that’s okay.
I'm still taking all this with a grain of salt because there's no proof any of this is real. I don't jump on the hate bandwagon. But no matter what if you enter into a relationship with a surf instructor and then after the fact tell her she's not allowed to Surf with men that's just crazy
Sounds like he was just a dick to his girlfriend, not really that surprising. Always got weird vibes from that guy, even though he's funny. But it's not like he deserves to go to prison or anything AFAIK.
My take is that an ex girlfriend is bored? Bitter? And randomly posting everything she can and calling him a misogynist and a bad human controlling boyfriend etc etc, but who does that? The crazy is oozing out of her. Jonah has been in therapy and presented her with clear boundaries that he wanted in a relationship, he didn’t threaten or disrespect her. I don’t agree that it is anti feminist or misogynistic to be uncomfortable with certain behaviors that to him represent a red flag. Don’t swallow wholesale the rhetoric that women must be allowed to be empowered by posting sexy pictures of themselves, because that is not how all people feel and it certainly does not work for all relationships.
What are the actual content of the texts about it? Was he like 'you can't ever surf with a dude.' or was it more 'I don't like you going on solo surfing adventures with a guy'
Idk just stinks of awful insecurity regardless of whether there was red flag behavior going on from her.
Clearly they needed to not be together and Jonah had more growing to do. Airing it out is a bad look imo unless he's straight up being abusive levels of controlling.
