Feature request: Actually getting a message when banned.

I got myself banned from /politics, never got a message about it. Would have been nice so I could remove it from my subscriptions.

Curious…banned why and on what instance?
- Because (presumably) I think illegal immigrants commited a crime and should be deported, and lemmy.world
  
  Hmm. Well I hope they aren’t banning people for reasonable expressions of free speech … assuming it’s respectful and not in a racist or hateful way…
  
  I know there are some instances with agendas and what not but Lemmy.world is supposed to be neutral and reasonable
It should be in the modlog, which is public
- Public modlog slows user but blank for what or why.
- I didn't know that the modlog was public, thanks! Still would have been good to get a message.
  
  And it was anti-trans, apparently. I can't see the context, but that's the message on it, a rule 6 violation. And the only comment on there I made that day was "I mean if your against an anti-pedo bill, you’re probably pro-pedo."
  
  Methinks the mods are confusing transpeople with pedos, somehow.
  
  Just to clarify, in case you weren't aware, American (and possibly beyond) conservatives are trying to equate acknowledging the existence of trans people with grooming children for sexual deviance. They are passing bigoted legislation intended to deny civil rights to trans individuals and calling it "anti-pedo" legislation.
  
  I don't know the context of your comment, but you should double check the text of the bill, because opposing a so-called "anti-pedo" bill may have nothing at all to do with pedophilia. You can't assume that it is exactly what it says on the label.
