Is this the climate conference led by an actual oil tycoon, or the one where they all fly separately in private jets and nothing actually comes from their promises? I can’t keep track of the BS get-togethers, I’m too busy going to the beach in North America in late November because it’s so warm.

- There's a regional rotation of where it ends up, and Dubai wanted to host, and engaged in diplomacy to make it be them
As long as conservatives and their corporate benefactors have any power at all, there will never be change. Never. They will gleefully ride their profit train right into a global graveyard.
Addresing climate change will not be possible through pacifism. Conservatives and corporations must be physically forced off of their thrones by the normal people, and that seems extremely unlikely given the lack of dicussion of violence by normal people.
