  • Furries are comrades I will not stand for this.

    • Nazi furries exist

      • There's unfortunately nazis of all groups. There's trans nazis(4chan /LGBT/ board), black nazis(Kanye West), and even Jewish Nazis(League of German National Jews). Trying to claim a very queer and neurodivergent group is nazis feels a bit off to me

        • Sure. I didn't say all furries are nazis. I was just disputing the user who said furries were comrades. Some are, but some are nazis, same as anybody else

          • It's not really worth bringing up when the vast majority of furries are part of various marginalized groups and when the few nazis that exist are universally reviled as they should be. They're as isolated as they can be within the community, and bringing them up is probably doing more harm by associating the rest of us with them than it is actually serving as a useful warning. We don't usually bring up the fact that nazi punks exist, because we understand the vast majority of that community is against them, and looking at who makes up the punk community makes it very obvious why. So why do we do it with furries?

            • I see what you're saying and I don't disagree really aside from the assumption that any furry is going to be a leftist. I wouldn't do that anymore than I'd assume everyone with liberty spikes is an anarchist. I wouldn't assume they were a nazi either but purely anecdotally every furry I've ever met was pretty apolitical. I don't have any problem with them I just don't perceive the community to have a cohesive ideology. I apologize if I'm mistaken in that I certainly meant no insult

              • yeah, i agree. saying [marginalized group x] is ALWAYS comrades is just wishful thinking and stereotyping. You always have to be on your toes and never assume people are revolutionary by default just because they're a member of a marginalized group. People say this is "not worth bringing up" or "tone deaf" but that isn't very convincing.

                • That's a better wat of putting what I was trying to say. When I was a younger queer person I just kind of assumed anyone who dealt with what I did growing up would have compassion for other marginalized people. I found that was often not the case
