Your title is literal disinformation.
No it isn't.
No. According to the article, Sanders talks about antisemitism and the fears of jews in New York. You could see 'carefully addressing topics about Isreal' as pushing him pro-isreal, but also as being diplomatic. It is not fair to put Sanders is the genocide camp because of his faith.
Sonetimes antisemitism means just that, antisemitism. In here I struggle to find a sign that Sanders wants Mamdani to decrease the antizionist rhetoric in any way, I can only see trying to make sure Mamdani can navigate the landscape and try not to present himself as antisemitic.Again, if you think you can't be antizionist without being antisemitic, you have the zionist worldview, except inverted.
Where does it report that Sanders said that? Absolutely nowhere.
#EDIT:
Is this community even moderated!? Up for over a day with a clearly false quote that the subject never said. And OP has demonstrated they're not engaging in good faith. There's plenty of other news communities that don't allow blatant disinformation...
Your. title. is. a. quote. One that Sanders never said. How are you not understanding that??
And the next sentence is:
Both are critics of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s handling of its war in Gaza.
Why are you spreading a false narrative?
Sanders position is rediculous but doesn't mean you could invent a quote
This is a play on words on Chuck Shumer saying his job is to keep the left pro Israel.
It is quite astounding that people here are still unable to see through this obvious Zionist dogwhistle from Bernie after two years.
To all the liberals in the thread: You should be cautious to not conflate opposing Israel with supporting Nazi Germany.
To all the leftists in this thread, thank you for standing up to OP's willful spreading of misinformation. I was very impressed by how everyone called OP out.
