Alternatively, it was one of the few shows on that wasn’t a soap opera or sitcom with canned laughter.

Geekception
Definitely geek first.
I had never seen anything Star Trek until COVID when I just ran out of stuff to watch on Netflix. Afterward, it was like I finally felt whole. Have seen everything TNG through SNW multiple times over since.
The only series I haven't watched yet is TOS and TAS.
What came first? The chicken Star Trek or the egg geekiness
Yes.
What came first? Warp 10 or the salamanders?
This meme slaps.
If it's on my face, I'm being insulted
If it's on my chest, I'm being challenged
If it's on my wrist, I'm being arrested
and if it's on my ass, I'm being aroused
What a nerd!
It's true. Consumerism doesn't make anyone a nerd. Getting horny for a commercial product that psychologists have spent generations conditioning you to get horny for doesn't make you a nerd. If anything, it makes you basic.
