  Even if you wanted to, it is quite hard to get your wife pregnant when you're drafted into the army and shipped to Ukraine.

Using USSR-era cannon fodder tactics only works if you have USSR-era population numbers.
- Funnily enough the Soviets actually ran into manpower problems. Their population base was approximately the same as America's at the time but their economy and agriculture was still industrializing.
  The Soviets acted like they had the manpower of Imperial Russia before WWI. A century of pouring out their own blood and they still think they're the most populated nation on the planet.
Bunch of conservatives here should head on over. Russia really is their end state.
Hopefully the people revolt, and tear the oligarchs from their compounds, so peace can return...

Sadly, cynically, there's still plenty of even poorer countries, some of which have thrown their lot in with Russia. There'll be more lies and coercion to attract immigrants.
Still, nice to hear a glimmer of truth from the horse's mouth.
- GDP per capita of Russia is at about the global one. So there are a lot of alternatives for potential migrants. The biggest source for Russia is Central Asia and we are seeing a shift away from going to Russia in that region. For example the Uzbeks work with South Korea on 100k migrant visas.
  Another huge part is that Russia is targeting migrant workers on a massive scale right now.
