I lost my job…. Money is getting very tight. I have always wanted to sell content but my job paid so good…. But not sure if I should or if it is worth it.

It will be more profitable to find just about any other job.
One thing to consider is that stuff you post online is then free range, it's out there and might never go away. If you don't feel it could be a problem for you in future, go for it. That said, I think it's only the minority of cammers who makes decent money.
You risk identity, stalkers, and history coming back to find you later. The longer you do it, the more data you give. The more location data, the more information in content, etc.
That's my main worry.
I mean a lot of that is avoidable… but yes, a lot is also my worry but my money is very tight right now and the job market is awful
You're not going to make enough to pay your bills for a long time, if ever
Probably won't make much of it. Like anything online most of the money is made by top 1% of the creators.
That being said if you've always wanted to try it I've got this motto that I should not die curious.
Look up the risks and how to mitigate them.
A few things to consider:
Be safe, and I hope you find a better job opportunity soon.
Supply is not meeting demand. You should focus on a niche not really touched by others, you might actually be working a lot more by working a job interested of making content/thinking about making content/interacting with the audience to keep them wanting to get content.
Either go private or put your face on blast. Might be beneficial to create the content in non descript places of your house. Might even be beneficial to get a fake different country outlet to confuse people
Our two cents as sharers but not sellers : professionnal sex content creation is a somewhat risky and overly saturated market. Crudely put, people who want to watch porn can do it just about everywhere on the web, most often for free. Unless you cater to a very specific niche of fetish(es), and even then it can be hard due to the huge and evergrowing number of people with the same ideas you got.
As others said, identity protection is paramount, however things like blurring/cutting your face will diminish your reach. Most OF models that do thrive do it through an active engagement with their community, which again implies potential sharing of personnal information.
We're not saying you shouldn't try, if only to satisfy your curiosity, but be very aware of the risks, the ways to mitigate them, and the overwhelming probability that this will not amount to a livable income soon, or possibly ever. But, keep doing what you want and what you like as safely as you can !
Getting paid.
In my opinion, if you're outside the USA your options to accept payment are essentially limited to Stripe and PayPal. Both have a poor track record of customer service and appear to lock funds without any form of human interaction, let alone timely resolution.
If you go outside those two, you're either setting up merchant facilities with a bank, or going down the Cryptocurrency route.
The bank won't condone NSFW content and crypto is full of empty promises, no guarantees and no recourse.
Adult content is probably the most saturated market on earth. I advise you read some accounts of what it's like day to day trying to make money out of onlyfans because as I understand it, it's a real grind, 12-18 hour days, making content, editing content, interacting with subscribers (who are by and large the worst), posting advercontent to dozens and dozens of subreddits and twitter etc.
If this is your plan for a career pivot. Don't.
