The number of Russians who say their salary does not cover basic spending has jumped by 20 percentage points in two years to almost half, a survey by recruiter Headhunter showed, as Moscow diverts record fiscal resources to funding its war in Ukraine.
I really don't want to respond to this with whattaboutism and American diabolosm, but I'd be curious to this compared with the same rate in the US.

Countries with a materially productive economy and decent balance of payments generally don't have excessive inflation.

Can't fully agree with the sentiment there. There are innocents in Russia who very much don't deserve any of this.
