Man I've ran into some super Russia apologists on here. I don't get it, especially now that Putin refuses all cease fire agreements it's pretty clear who the aggressor is. To me it's been clear from the start, but lately the evidence has been piling up fast.
To be honest, it has been clear who the aggressor is since 2014...
Maybe all the way back to Katherine the Great.
There's a not insignificant number of people here who are so obsessed with how they are free from US/EU propaganda that they've gone full circle and lap up literal Russian state media as a reliable source.
I get it, America bad. But because America bad doesn't mean Russia good. They can both be bad.
Reality is a team sport, to some people. Of course they describe their outgroup 'blindly parroting western media' the same way they blindly parrot anything contrary to western media. That's all they think there is. You pick a side and defend it.
Feral Historian framed it as scientists versus lawyers. These people aren't weighing the evidence... they're building a case. 'It's a good way to send someone to prison, but it's terrible for arriving at truth.'
They operate under the belief that Ukraine is under the rule of a Nazi regime, so to them Putin might be the aggressor, but it's for the greater good
I'm curious what "evidence" they have to support that belief.
