I agree that Trump is racist but not focused on it. In this way Trump is similar to a Paul Von Hindenburg. He is an old fool who has brought his country to the brink of mass murder. Not ideological enough to pull the trigger.
Actually the people kept prisoner in Dachau were not victims of the Holocaust, but political opponents.
In 1933, Jews were "merely" unofficially harrassed. Legal discrimination started in 1935 with the Nürnberg Laws, and outright terror in 1938 with the Reichskristallnacht. In these years, the nazis tried to harrass and terrorize the Jewish population into emigration. There was even a plan to deport all Jews to Madagascar. The Holocaust did only start in 1939.
Edit: Peat Bog Soldiers was written in in KZ Börgermoor, several hundred kilometers North of Dachau.
