Doctors are using unapproved AI software to record patient meetings, investigation reveals

As someone that works in the digital area within the NHS I can tell you this is:

A) fucking scary B) happening too often C) been called out on a number of occasions but GPs don't fucking listen

my most recent visit the Dr asked me if it was ok to use AI. I asked them not to. they said it's just for note taking and they might have errors in the notes. I responded by pointing out AI regularly hallucinates characters and fictitious stories all the time.

they listened and took notes but I wondered how long before they just stop asking.

Corpo's doing procurement for this have zero regard for anything beyond extracting value from the operations... It just so happens medicine has extra pesky rules related to these sick peasants having dignity.
