There’s simply a lot going on and an enormous amount of reporting. And most of it is unpleasant. So I’ve reduced my consumption of news - in reality, I still hear, see, read more than 30-40 years ago, you just can’t escape the news. Besides, I don’t have to hear every limp vomit, brainburp, fart or lukewarm ejaculate that erupts from Trumps mouth.

What is much harder to take is the hypocrisy in the media about it. It's not that anyone wouldn't know what's going on - it's just that anyone saying it aloud will be shouted down, blocked and banned by the legions of hypocrits. That said, you can fuck yourself, nationalist asshole.

You hit the nail right on the head with your comment. We got the newspeak, where critic on israel is being counted as antisemitism nowadays. Just last week there was a huge headline in my local newspaper about the massively risen numbers of antisemitism in germany. And in the last few sentences of the article they say: oh, by the way. 2/3 of these cases stem from the recently adopted new definition of antisemitism, which has been massively criticised since then.
In essence: Israel goes batshit crazy. People in germany and especially those with roots in the middle east refuse to accept the the genocide and warmongering. Well, those are antisemites now. You don't trust these racist haters, right? Or are you one of those and wish to be ostracised as well?

Doing well so far I see....
Same. And I think it's not just because of bots or trolls. It's also because of people that share your opinion. I seriously underestimated the echo chamber effect. Makes real life interactions that involve politics unbearable.
