To be honest the comparison with Trump is bit harsh.
Because of how fucked up are American politics all the populists and right wing parties are compared to him.
In fact he has closer ties to democrats in USA than to republicans. But that doesn't mean that he isn't populist, political chameleon and sometimes in his retorics gets bit to the extreme to catch most possible votes.
Considering the US Dems have swung so heavily to the Right, that whoever's left on the Left is currently not represented...
