Mohamed Elneny interview: ‘I cried when Arsenal asked me to stay, I want to finish my career here’

Mo is such a wholesome guy, genuinely loves the club and the opportunity he's been given in life, even though he doesn't play much anymore.

I'm pretty pleased we're keeping Mo around. I feel like he's probably worth keeping around just for the dressing room energy, but part of me is hoping he scores one of his screamers to win a cup one day.

He's way down the pecking order for defensive midfield (behind Rice, Partey, and Jorginho). But I'm glad we're keeping him around. We need depth, and against weaker teams he can still put in a decent shift. Plus, as some of you have already pointed out he's a fantastic mentor and influence on the younger players in our squad.
