That's weird, I haven't used reddit for many years now, but it used to be clearly liberal/left leaning.
- The CEO wants to monetize it more, sell more ads, sell your data, etc. So I'm sure that is part of the removal reasons

you can get the same kind of sanction on politics community(lemmy) too, there are so many anti-biden, anti-dems on that community as they were on reddit, it was astonishing. i had to block that community now.

it seems its the reddit site filtering and not the subreddit, the reddit uses a much broader and indiscriminate filtering.

I had that too where i wanted to ask something to a specific game/technical? community that really had no other place where i could ask.
That they probably remove and flag messenges with words like "luigi" is bad, but that they block legit messanges is probably hurting the userbase and anyone that peeks back for that question that is hard to get an answer elsewhere
