A little jingle
A little jingle

A little jingle
In they tune of "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands"
I mind-sung it to "She'll be Coming 'Round the Mountain".
Mine was “If you’re happy and you know it”.
Edit: just saw that caption under the screenshot 😂
Use Woody Gurthrie's voice and and stop for a harmonica break after stanza 3.
I read the whole thing as “Fred”, and thought “That’s getting pretty dark for Scooby Doo. He’s not that bad”.
He might not be, but that fuckin neckerchief has got to go
He's just so fashion forward he ended up going in reverse
The UK Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion movements were infiltrated and the activists received lengthy jail terms. I did wonder about their recruitment methods and it seemed that people randomly came into contact with the group, making identification of feds a problem. You would imagine that it's pretty difficult for the fed to maintain the required level pretence to remain undetected but they are probably terrible people to start with.
someone desperately needs to learn meter
if he's got no sense of humor he's a fed
if he's got no sense of humor he's a fed
if someone posts a joke
and all that guy does is poke at it for not having perfect meter when the history of comedic music from Gilbert & Sullivan to Weird Al is rife with elongations and contractions to make a joke fit a melody
if he's got no sense of humor he's a fed
If he’s a stickler for the format he’s a fed
If he’s a stickler for the format he’s a fed
If he really seems to mind
That your lines don’t really rhyme
If he’s a stickler for the format he’s a fed
If he's got no sense of rythm he's a fed.
if someone posts a joke
Do you really suggest I stress that on "one" and... what, the emptiness at the end of the line? A stressed pause? Courageous.
Good idea, but change the "someone" to "somebody". Breaking rules on purpose doesn't work if you also break them on accident.
i love jokes. i'd love to laugh at one someday.
I thought it syncopated just fine.
knock knock? You know we have DOORBELLS right?!
Third epitrite (dah dah DAT dah) aka 4/4 offbeat throughout. In the original last dah after "hands" (which is on DAT) is a pause.
I shall simply be pointing out "Fits betER with a suit AND tie". That 'er' is not a place where you can put stress, under any circumstance, and the "and" is questionable at best given that it would be the first syllable to vanish into "suit 'n' tie" in natural speech.
There’s also a long history of undercover feds self-identifying as anarchists, and leaked intelligence training that pushing for anarchism is one of the best ways for them to disrupt leftist movements trying to establish a socialist/communist state.
But y’all don’t like to talk about that.
"Hey everyone nice party you've got here but have you consdiered all the ANARCHIST INFILTRATORS DESTROYING YOUR RANKS FROM WITHIN?!!! Why isn't anyone taking this infiltration seriously!? I think we need to clean house immediately and get all these CIA Anarchists out!"
Who are you again?
Anyway maybe that tactic works so often because most "leftist" gatherings are just another rally for another cult of personality around another authoritarian leader? If these people weren't investing so much energy into vanguarding and demonizing "the bad leftists" they might have built some actual solidarity and resistance to being infiltrated by cops.
Yeah they act like anarchists because they're the actual opposition. There's no point in them dressing up in foreign uniforms to lure irrelevant tankies.
I like how the first person came in with some nonsense and you turned it up to TURBO nonsense.
Lemmy needs a better moderation model. When gibberish starts to be a significant part of the conversation, having volunteers apply “the rules of the community” just doesn’t accomplish the purpose of keeping it productive. Idk what the answer is, but this is not what success looks like.
stfu fed
Fed posting used to be believable.
lmao, fuck off goober
I don't know about the fed level, but in my limited experience the haircut thing is not really accurate. I feel like looking at haircut and shoes comes from another and much more primitive era of law enforcement. A lot of undercover people work long-term as undercover people, and they have deliberately sort of "fellow kids" hair and facial hair.
Vibes and how well you know the person are more reliable than any specific checklist. If you wanted the checklist though, this is not a bad one.
One additional thing I've noticed as a tell is that everything is polished. Whatever type of "street" clothes they want to put on, the shirt tends to be neat and spotless, everything is clean, the facial hair is groomed. I imagine it varies by the skill level of the person, but in general cops don't like to be sloppy. Even their "sloppiness" costume will still be neat and presentable.
Not to mention - the "tight and high" and "looking better with a suit and tie" throws off the whole anarchy thing for everyone.
Much easier to do anything when you don't look or act like a threat.
Results are what matter anyway. Unless we are all free, there isn't a point to rebelling aesthetically.
I don't think this was intended as a replacement for proper vetting processes. Sure, looking at people's haircuts won't catch the worst ones, but not all would-be infiltrators are super-spies, either.
I get my hair cut short as hell so I don't have to manage it as much.
