Happy 6th Birthday Lenny!

Lenny is a Spectacled Owl, named for the distinctive white feathers above his eyes that make it look like he's wearing glasses! Of course, owls don't need glasses-Lenny has incredible eyesight. In fact, if humans could see as well as owls, we'd be able to read the fine print of a newspaper from a football field away!

Lenny loves training with his keepers, watching bird documentaries, and of course educating everyone about how cool owls are! Happy Birthday Lenny!

I wasn't aware they had a Spectacled Owl. I'll have to try and get down there again this year.
