How am I supposed to go on?
How am I supposed to go on?
How am I supposed to go on?
At first, I thought people were exaggerating by calling her comics a strawman, as the situation mentioned in the comic above happens too commonly.
I did a little digging and found this deleted thread.
To my surprise she turned out exactly like people she seems to be calling out.
Edit: added url
Edit 2 : Found this in the same thread
lol, this feels like the convo in a nutshell…
Alice: “Bob, I’ll bet you could never imagine what it would feel like if X happened to you.”
Bob: “Actually X has happened to me.”
Alice: “Jesus fucking Christ, Bob! Not everything’s about you!”
I love seeing these comics. You can always count on like 20 white males showing up asking how this is funny, that it's a strawman, that pizzacake is terrible, blah blah blah.
The simple thing is, they are comics that give a flavor of the times. Males ARE acting this way. Is it a caricature of a scenario, sure, but that's what a fucking comic is. Does it have to be "funny" in order to be a comic? No, there are political comics everywhere. Why does pizzacake only get this sort of ire? Is it because she's calling out white males on the absurdity of their actions, and they don't like it?
My advice? Chill TF out bros. It's a comic. If you don't like it, maybe you should talk to your buddies when they start acting like Andrew Taint's mouthpiece. Toxic masculinity is a real issue. Sorry that it takes a fucking pizzacake comic to discuss it...
The issue with pizzacake is that her behavior demonstrates that she doesn't oppose this kind of behavior because it's wrong, she opposes it because it's directed at her.
Thanks for that but also crazy that you have to explain it. Guess it’s needed.
As a white male, I'm not going to disagree with you on any of this.
Related to the content: personally I like opinionated, loud mouthed women. I don't classify myself as a "high value" male or anything. I mean, who the fuck is that arrogant? I'm not poor, but I'm certainly not rich. I'm much closer to being poor than I am to being rich.... But that doesn't say much.
In any case, the content is funny. It's an exaggeration of the kind of reaction that people tend to have to dickwads sharing their unsolicited opinions with strangers who don't care what you think.
I love that it is shining a big fat spotlight on the shitty behaviors that self proclaimed "high value men" think is ok. It's not ok. Stop it. Get some help.
It's shameful to share a gender with these degenerates. I am ashamed of my gender because people like the one depicted in the comic, exist. And they're not a trivial amount either. There's a good number of them, and it's fucking embarrassing.
To anyone butthurt about the contents of the comic: first, relax, it's a joke. Second, how about you treat everyone like they're a fucking human being? Instead of putting people into little boxes like "high value" or "male" or "female" or whatever, how about you throw all that bullshit out and just see humans. Regardless of race, gender, preferences, religion, anatomical features, disabilities..... They're all human beings deserving of some measure of respect. And don't give me any shit about "respect is earned"... Fuck you. You need to have a basic level of respect before you can prove yourself as someone deserving of respect; otherwise any action you take will be seen as the feeble flailings of someone nobody cares about to earn some kind of clout.
Everyone should be given a base level of respect until they prove that the respect granted to them for being a human in our society, isn't deserved.
For everyone else who may still be reading and didn't get butthurt by a comic: stay frosty.
It's only funny in a very cringe way.
The description that resonates with me is that you agree with what she says but cringe at how she says it. I think it really comes down to the fact that the comics are never deeper than surface level. I'd enjoy them if my takeaway was ever more than "well, yeah..."
For some people, surface level is enough.
According to these commenters and bingo cards anyone who criticized this artist is an incel. To me she just makes mid borderline lame/cringe comics. Was happy not seeing her stuff after leaving Reddit lo and behold shes back with comics denoting imaginary scenarios without any punchlines. Go ahead and check a bingo square and call me an incel her work sucks.
Neg me daddy.
This made me chuckle out loud thanks for sharing! Do you mind if I share it in !Witchesvspatriarchy@lemmy.ca
I read all the comments and I still don't understand what makes this comic interesting
It's four panel joke. 1. An arrogant man says he would never be with woman he's apparently never met and knows nothing about 2. The woman, rather than being upset, leans into his arrogant rejection by pretending she is devastated at the rejection 3-4 she continues to sarcastically be upset about the rejection to mock and derid this arrogant man.
That's it man. Pretty simple joke.
It's a political statement. Guys are talking this way. Sure it's a caricature, but that doesn't make the statement less meaningful. Toxic masculinity is just that...it's toxic AF, and while I may not think she has the funniest comic ever, it's a good way to showcase the absurdity of our current times.
Why is it that everytime I see this artist nowadays it's just a preachy kill-a-strawman comic? I remember them being funny back in the day, what happened? Did they change, did I? Am I mistaking a shite copycat for an artist I remember fondly? Is this what senility feels like? How was your day?
Is it really a strawman when we see actual headlines about public figures acting this way?
A strawman? What the fuck are you talking about?
He apparently identified with the arrogant man in the comic.
Why would I answer a self-avowed big stupid idiot who poops their pants and kisses their sister???
I just built a little model of a person! Let's call him lagoon8622.
lagoon8622: "I'm a big stupid idiot who poops his pants and loves to kiss his sister"
Whoa! You heard it here, folks. Sure it's just a model of him, but I am insinuating that this could be a real conversation that really happened. Everyone please base your opinion of lagoon8622 off of this hastily constructed model I created.
I remember them being funny back in the day, what happened?
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/hidden-motives/201203/unreliable-memory
Don't gaslight people lol
you see, when somebody says something mean to you online, spending your time on 4-panel is the best way to prove how not mad you are, consult some Dobson webcomics if you need examples.
Turns out, lemmy has a massive misogyny problem going on ¯(ツ)/¯
If you don't think my joke is funny you're a racist
Yep. Came to the comments and immediately saw they were out in force. I mod !WomensStuff@lazysoci.al and although the majority of men who've turned up have been great, we've had some misogynists mansplaining and being petty. Fortunately we're women only
Honestly if someone is referring to themselves as "high value" anything then it's pretty clearly a low value thought. Doesn't really matter who they are.
If they have anything of high value, it may be their component parts. Lightly used kidneys are at a premium right now.
I feel like this is one of those conversations you make up in your head and it's kinda cringe to write it down.
Just look at this thread. People are out in force acting superior to her and putting her down for having an only fans. Theyre providing unsolicited feedback, acting "high valued" without even realize theyre doing it. This comic is showing how she sees the unsolicited feedback from these people on the internet, and calls it out as it is, inconsequential to her life. And what do those very same people do? Get even more upset.
Frankly, i knew nothing about this lady before this thread happened. It's been a wild ride for me to follow
I didn't even realize she did nudes in her patreon until someone mentioned it. He of course totally hates it but periodically checks on it (to see if its still there and shes still doing it) using a website that skips the paywall.
From my experience men often underestimate how often women face weirdos. While the whole conversation might happen only in authors head the initial comment of the guy is quite a regular thing. It is a form of bullying. The rest of the conversation might happen in the authors head only, but it's sad that women have to face such behavior in the first place IMO. If you don't think such conversation happens at all, you might get enlightened by the everyday sexism project, the related (audio)book, or just ask a friendly woman around you if they ever faced it. https://everydaysexism.com/
Actually it is a regular thing among the asshole "manosphere" crowd (i.e. the pathetic fucking losersphere).
Big shower-arguement energy for sure.
When you consider the source….
Are these Questionable Content characters?
No. Different comics, different artists, different themes. - But some similarity in visual style.
It does look a little similar, but I don't think it's related.
Crazy how many folks can't scroll past something they aren't interested in. And not thoughtful critiques. Just whining really. Their delicate eyes witnessed it, thus they were compelled to come make a comment.
I don't think I'd ever find it appropriate to whine in the comments of a user's post, over a post breaking no rules. I have, and would... just scroll by.
I don't see "No Pizza Cake" in the rules... why would someone think it would just never show up?
i mean, the best punishment for bad art is lack of engagement.
I don't think pizzacake is a troll (as in makes bad comics so it gets negative engagement), but here we are.
People complaining about her in the comments actually helps her.
if you don't like it, just move along, don't give hold her in your head like that zen story about crossing the river with a girl.
I'll be honest, I kinda wanted lemmy to not have the same mentality as the audience of r/comics who just straight up hate all men. But it looks like these comments are kind of a warzone. I wonder if the mods from that sub have any power here? They defend her from even polite and constructive criticism.
This comic is neither funny nor thoughtful. I’d say it’s getting the critique it deserves.
I found d it funny. It's almost like funny is a subjective thing.
Who is pizzacake and why do so many commenters dislike them?
Have a good read, it’s interesting if you like manufactured drama for the sake of publicity.
Huh, that comic and the responses makes me realize how much people can't notice their own blind spots, including within the comic itself.
Like in this section with people saying it's exaggerated or nobody actually talks like that (because they don't ever perceive it in real life and it seems to ridiculous to be real), and the comic referenced in your link where she says if men were responded to that way, because she apparently can't see that it is how men are responded to for many of those things, because she's so used to seeing women as the victims of that stuff perpetrated by mostly men (which is reasonable! What situations would she see the opposite?). What's telling, though, is the way one side pegs her as a misandrist for it and shit on her work and herself for it, and the other side pegs those for being misogynist for taking issue with her (though, in fairness, some are and will hate on anything by a woman discussing problems for women).
Basically, I feel like this is two groups yelling past each other and being upset about the same issue: gender-based mistreatment. But another key thing is... well, the guys who happen across her comics should recognize that it's a comic equivalent of TwoXChromosomes from Reddit: it's by a woman, largely for women, and you should either skip it or read it for a glimpse of a perception you normally don't experience, not something to argue over. And the women, just like with 2X, should take this stuff with a grain of salt (especially when someone presumes to know what men's experiences are). Stuff is exaggerated to pinpoint an issue, but you shouldn't let it poison your view of the world (or men).
Basically, I feel like there's value in comics like PizzaCake's, but the heavy commenting should be expected, not hated on. The most value people can get from it would be hearing other perspectives without insulting them for having a different one than your own. Except the actual misogynists (and misandists), they can fuck off, but I think it's worth giving the benefit of the doubt to start.
She's very reddit
From the comments, it seems the artist herself isn't well liked.
From knowing nothing about the artist, but having seen a huge bulk of these comics: Maybe they're incels. 🤷🏻♂️ These do tend to be about toxic masculinity and just bad male behavior in general. It's like seeing a Republican hating someone because that someone they hate calls out Republican bullshit. Considering the vagueness of the hate expressed in the thread, I am leaning toward this being the actual case.
Really? I'm not a pizzacake hater but this is happening on lemmy too?
Or maybe because she threatened illegitimate DMCA take downs of parodies on r/bonehurtingjuice resulting in mass censorship of any criticism of the fact that one of her comics was insensitive to victims of male sexual assault.
https://www.reddit.com/r/bonehurtingjuice/comments/1ggn4a6/pizzacake_posts_are_now_banned/
Probably misogyny.
The art is incredibly bland, the points they make are very surface level, and the artist is an awful person.
So many people think they're owning the libs or whatever by posting them.
Yup. This checks all of the "that is definitely how people talk"-boxes. It's like an invented dialogue meets a fantasy answer.
Can we not have AIop being upvoted to the top? Thanks.
Wow, some folks need to remember that online life isn't real life...
Please, go touch some grass before you scare some normie by talking about your favorite/most-hated web comic.
pizzacakecomics has actually accurately portrayed the way men are treated before:
What kind of narcissistic fuck refers to himself as "high value man"
Just look at this thread. How many people in this thread are acting superior to her because she has an only fans or because of some other stupid reddit reason. The people are acting "high valued" and superior even if they dont say it. She's literally using this comment to tell readers that these peoples opinions have no influence on her life, and all its doing is making them more upset. To me, that's why this comic is funny
Yea, it's kind of a shit show. When I posted there were no other comments yet.
A manosphere twat, that's who.
It’s taking the piss out of Andrew Tate and the gullible guys that he’s convinced are superior to women.
I still have both kidneys, so I'd say I'm pretty "high-value"
I still have both kidneys
So, if a date says you're "potentially a great match", clarify "organ donor or personality match", okay?
Leon Musk, for example.
I've seen it in screenshots people have taken of posts from various "man-o-sphere" influencers on places like Twitter. Obviously the problem with them saying it is that none of the guys referring to themselves as such are actually worth knowing, let alone dating.
Same vibes when guys call themselves kings, or girls call themselves queens.
Gestures wildly at the men, many in positions of power, around the world, who very obviously would do that.
Let me guess, someone who’s such an egregious self-important A-hole that they are unfuckable? But I’m just guessing.
Narcissus was always trying to dodge annoying suitors, so I don't think he'd want to call himself high value in that context.
The kind made of straw
#BINGO!
I'd say four of these are accurate.
You forgot her threatening to sue a subreddit for critizing and making fun of her comics. There's a reason why some people don't want her comics here, and that's because she's toxic as fuck
I think I saw three of them in the comments already!
Don’t know the artist besides what hits the front page here
Isn’t it kind of fucking awesome that douchebags are getting owned?
Seriously -- my wife takes 0% of my bullshit, and that's such a great quality. Just sayin'.
My wife tolerates a little of my bullshit. But that tolerance may be because she can’t tell if I’m just being weird or not. And she knew I was different when she was dating me and yet she still married me.
Can we please not bring pizza cake comics over from reddit? They're so mid they aren't even funny. Strawman comics that show off the author's frustrations.
Or we bring all content and you can just skip the crap you don't like. You know, like most of us do with other things.
I agree that skipping content is the way to go, Lemmy is federated and all that, but I don't think it works with a post like this.
This post somehow got 1.2k likes but there's no real discussion in the comments (mainly about the author like we are discussing right now) and it doesn't contribute anything of value to the site. It's a post that most people probably scroll past without giving it any thought, like, and immediately forget - the worst type of social media content for which I don't see a reason to exist here.
I like Lemmy because it has a kind of "people using a website" feel instead of a "generic content slop feed" vibe like reddit, tiktok, ect. I think Lemmy, as a community, should encourage high quality OC content on the platform instead of accepting generic and forgettable posts like this and just saying "ignore it".
I'm with you on this one.
It makes the normies feel like their virtues are being validated, let them have it.
Thank you
Damn this comic has L A Y E R S
Ugh Lemmy is becoming reddit
I'm only reading one layer. What are others?
Its a call out the her haters. Look at this thread and how many people think theyre better than her for what ever reason. Shes telling them she doesnt give a shit about their opinion
She's probably not even married, among others, but is still playing into the prescribed gender role to troll the masc even harder. OR, she is married, but probably her relationship has some elements that are still considered "niche" or "deviant" by society at large. Or, maybe NONE of that is true, either, which is yet another layer relating to assumptions people make based on the behavior and self-expression of others
The fox has many clever tricks, but the hedgehog has one big trick.
a misogyny onion
🌝 in this meme I portray myself as the chad and you as the wojak
Whats the joke here?
There's no joke. People seem to enjoy feeling either superior or outraged or both and the name of the game is user engagement. That's how you end up with this type of thing.
I can see that people don't always know how to word their critique. But the point is simple: This is a toxic way to deal with that type of annoyance in your life. It's a comic, indeed, maybe not meant to be taken seriously, but I would much better see comics about interesting, or fun things. This type of ordinary, sarcastic social commentary you present as a comic does not help your cause nor make the sub a better place. Let's not perpetrate the "owning" culture so prevalent in social media. Shall you?
Oh good lord…. It’s going to be r/comics all over again.
Prepare…. For litany!
Instead of becoming an incel, you should first consider acting like the woman in this comic when somebody doesn't want to date you.
These comics are great if you are... Probably just a normal person who thinks that the act of creating anything deserves praise.
But if you start comparing it to the best comics.. it's just some lady who uses it as a blog.
One, who was comparing it to "the best comics"?....And two, what does that have to do with the subject matter?
I'm pretty real sure nobody was comparing themselves as superior to Charles Schultz or Gary Trudeau
I always compare things to the best in class. Phones. Houses. Clothes. Paintings. Prose. Appliances. Daily weather. Games... Etc
comparing it to the best comics
Indeed, it's not The Family Circus nor The Lockhorns...
I don't consider those the best comics, but have fun.
I don't know why political comics are so annoying. It's like even if I agree with the creator's political views, I still don't find them funny.
Political memes are usually funny, though. You'd think it would be the other way around, because comics take more effort to make.
Seems more internet social than political.
It's such a stupid satire by a sad person who can't address valid criticism and who feel that their only recourse is to make up a fantasy.
Staw man/Fantasy: Guy telling a random woman on the street, who happens to be married, "I wouldn't even date you". The strong and independent woman answers with sarcasm.
Reality: The woman is a single mother with 10+ past partners who has failed to secure a good father for her child. She puts herself online and gets scrutinized and criticized.
This is not a defense of particular internet personalities, who may or may not deserve criticism on their own. Rather, it's to point out that these comics are stupid, and don't address valid criticism that's out there that need to be addressed properly.
Staw man/Fantasy: Guy telling a random woman on the street, who happens to be married, “I wouldn’t even date you”. The strong and independent woman answers with sarcasm.
This is one of the most prominent parts of manosphere ideology, and they are not quiet about it or shy about sharing it. We used to call it "negging". This comic is pointing out the absurdity of toxic men thinking they are too good for most women.
Reality: The woman is a single mother with 10+ past partners who has failed to secure a good father for her child.
I have no idea what the reality is for this cartoonist, nor do I care, but you've managed to make three misogynistic value judgments in one short sentence, which is kind of impressive in a sad and pathetic way. First, there's nothing inherently wrong with being a single mother. Second, a woman's worth is not determined by the number of past partners she's had, a standard which is never applied to men. Third, securing a good father for her child is not the be-all-end-all goal of a single mother. Raising her child(ren) is. This can be done with or without a man involved.
This is not a defense of particular internet personalities, who may or may not deserve criticism on their own.
Maybe not, but it sure comes off as an endorsement of their values.
Rather, it’s to point out that these comics are stupid, and don’t address valid criticism that’s out there that need to be addressed properly.
So a comic strip didn't address sexism in the specific way that you approve of, and you think the proper response is to degrade the cartoonist as a whorish single mother who can't find a good man?
Dude. You are the guy in the comic.
First, there’s nothing inherently wrong with being a single mother.
Single motherhood is not easy, and I have sympathy for any woman who has become a single mother with no power of her own. The critique is not aimed at single motherhood, but rather at women who make (selfish) decisions in life that leaves the children without a father. It cannot be understated how damaging that can be for her children.
One reason why I said that certain internet personalities deserve criticism on their own is that they advocate for men engaging in promiscuity and cause the same problems that these personalities claim they dislike.
Second, a woman’s worth is not determined by the number of past partners she’s had, a standard which is never applied to men.
Yes, it's a factor that men will judge a woman by. It makes sense, because a more extensive past will more likely affect a future relationship.
Men should be held to a higher standard as well, I don't disagree with that.
Third, securing a good father for her child is not the be-all-end-all goal of a single mother. Raising her child(ren) is. This can be done with or without a man involved.
It has been shown that children who are raised with a single parent fare worse than with both parents. It's clear that single motherhood is not something to be desired, neither for the children nor the mothers themselves. Many single mothers are complaining, on the internet about this, so it's strange that you are trying to defend them by claiming that there is no issue to complain about...
So a comic strip didn’t address sexism in the specific way that you approve of, and you think the proper response is to degrade the cartoonist as a whorish single mother who can’t find a good man?
I wasn't talking about the cartoonist. I was talking about the made up characters that supposedly reflect reality. When someone sees this comic, it's most likely that they don't think about who drew it. They will likely see the comic in isolation from the artist, just like I did.
Oh great...the 4channers are here...
Wrong. Try again.
Stop. Get some help.
Take your own advice, kiddo.
You've never seen the "I wouldn't even date you" negging, where adult-aged boys try to trick women into pleading their case to the kid?
I think I go to the bar 2 or 3 times a year, and I've seen it several times. I'm glad that doesn't seem to be as much of a thing in the gay community, at least that I've seen.
It depends on who the male character in the comic is supposed to be. If it's in that setting, then yeah I can imagine it happening.
I was thinking about MGTOWs and internet personalities who use words like "high value male/female", and my interpretation of this comic is that this is supposed to be satire of them. If that's what the comic artist was going for then, I believe my criticism is deserved.
If it's referencing immature men saying “I wouldn’t even date you” to women they actually find attractive, well, I haven't seen it myself but I can imagine it happening. That's however not what I was thinking about addressing this comic.
The comic is a bit ambiguous about what it's talking about specifically.
Next, you're going to tell me that a snail doing cocaine isn't realistic?
No, no, shh, I want to believe.
You'd have made a valid point if you stopped half way through.
You are free to disagree, but I don't feel I would have been able to complete my point without the second half.
Thanks, saved me having to write that. There is a lot of valid criticism women can level against "the modern man", depending on the culture they live in. But this is not it. I have never heard of a guy claiming to be of higher status and cussing off a woman who rejected him. Maybe we sometimes think we're higher status than a woman or whatever, but then again we do that with other men too. It's a human thing, not a gender thing. Women most definitely categorize men into lower and higher strata subconsciously too, if nothing else.
"I, as a man, have never encountered this scenario myself. Therefore, it is completely made up and reason to be further misogynistic." Is all I saw there brother.
I'm glad to hear from someone else who is seeing what I'm seeing.
The sarcastic strong and independent woman vs a stupid man meme has nothing to do with reality whatsoever. The worst part is that it's masking some serious issues society is dealing with.
Blocking this community for pizzacake spam lately
This ain't an airport, we don't care about your departure.
Okay, and?
I just went through the last 10 days of posts in the community. This is the only PC one that shows up in that time frame. Other artists have multipes in that time. So, less than once a week... guess there are different ideas of what is spam.
Cool story bro
Today in things that never happened:
Or maybe it would happen in the US. I wouldn't be surprised anymore.
Wait until you learn that cats don't really like lasagna.
Either you never seen the comment section of any post ever, or you the dude who makes these kind of comments.
You know this is a comic, not a news article, right?
Yeah? The comic is making a statement, no?
Try asking any female friend if they can relate to this comic.
Try asking any female friend
Why don't you also ask him to end world hunger while you're at it? He has equal chances at both.
Given everything, I'm guessing they don't have any.
They’d need to interact with a woman on a personal level to be able to accomplish that.
I'll ask my work colleagues in the union club. I'm sure perhaps my colleagues from Arabic countries might relate, but that's about it.
This dog shit comic being spammed on *eddit was a good reason to leave that shithole
Fun fact: no one is forcing you to read comics you dislike! If you don't like a post, you are allowed to scroll past it.
Are you afraid spez is going to come to your house and lick your feet while you sleep if you say Reddit? Nothing more pathetic than self-censorship. Say the fucking word or pick another one.
Say the n-word then
It's for wh€n you hat€ someth*ng so much that you treat it as a sluπ. If you don't like it that's fine but as people who dislike pizzacake should do move on or block it.
Well something similar happened that haunts my childhood till this day.
"Self-censorship" like when PCC author threatened to sue a subreddit for critizing her and making fun of her comics
You’re welcome to make your own comic if you think you can do better.
now now. that's just a stupid stance to take. you don't have to make media to be critical of it.
or do you have to make a podcast to say joe rogan's slop is toxic, diseased, and damaging to society?
It's just a cover for her... erm, alternative content.
I guess you should just leave instead of posting shit comments.
we don't want you here
Lol. Dog shit comments like this being posted on reddit was a good reason to leave that shithole.
I'm not a fan of her comics, I just don't find them very funny. But the level of unconstructive hate she gets is absurd. Just move on if you don't like the comics. If you really dislike them, just block the user or community. It's not hard. Grow up.
The great thing about lemmy is that if you don't like a post, there is another one under it.
I don't see what's dogshit about it. Maybe you just don't like it?
Fits the current comic btw.
she's had some real shitty opinions but she's generally in the right ballpark.
Yeah, on this topic I feel like she’s in the ballpark. My girlfriend and I game in the same spaces but we don’t always announce that we are together IRL for privacy sake. And we are both very independent people.
The amount of weird dudes she’s ran into that have used “high value man” or “high value woman” is absolutely more than one. They’re pretty common to bump into in online spaces.
The last time she ran into a problem with a dude like this—she read me the chat as it was going down. The guy was clearly into her but couldn’t handle that she was taken and had no interest. So, this random dude proceeded to call me a cuck (hahaha), asked if I “knew what she was up to” (gaming? lol), and that no high value man would want her! He did this in a public gaming space too and about 50 people thankfully dog piled and ratioed him into oblivion.
Oh well! I guess she’s stuck with “her low value cuck man” who makes her coffee in bed every morning and with whom she raised a cute and healthy family with. She’s allowed to do whatever she wants and her male doesn’t even try to control her. How horrible! She’ll never recover!
These dudes are dangerous in numbers. Which is why they deserve and need to be mocked mercilessly until they fuck off or get therapy.
I generally agree with her opinions, but there's more to thinking a comic is good than pointing at it and going "wow i think that too." They always just seem like super generic "relatable" jokes, and it's crazy that they always get 50 billion upvotes.
Honestly, who didn't?
The only comic of hers that I've found morally objectionable was years ago now, and framed around complaining about her kids.
It had thousands of downvotes (on reddit) and all the comments were calling her out for being entierly responsible for her situation as a parent, and telling her to suck it up and step up because bitching out her kids like that was damaging them, unproductive and absolutely not funny.
Out of the thousands of comic panels of hers that I've seen, that's really not a bad track record at all.
I don't think this is the right place for you then either. Maybe try X or "Truth" Social?
I'd suggest 4chan as a more suitable alternative buuuuut...
It wasn't the spam for me so much as criticism and parody of her work being banned. "I have drawn myself as the Chad and you as the soyjak" shtick gets old.
You sound decaffeinated.
Yeah, the virtue signaling is at an insane level, but the author never seems to take their own advice or take it well when anyone points out their blind spots.
