Forsaken it, unless it comes up in my google searches for something I need help with. I dont have an account anymore, so I just read when I do have to go there.
every account I ever logged into on multiple devices was banned, new accounts I make on any of those devices is banned immediately after creating the account.
people talk about SV too much on reddit, i pretty much only look at fantasy fiction, gardening, and comics sort of stuff lmao, just innocent little side hobbies where that shit never shows up. i almost quit hexbear when it first started out because there was an obsession on extolling SV ALL THE TIME without any warning, making it a hostile environment for people who experienced SV. stuff like epstein and kavanaugh jokes. one user would make a post every day about kavanaugh and i was halfway to hunting them down irl. im glad that the site has grown past this and the mods remove stuff that dont have nsfw and content tags so i can actually interact with leftist discussion and news.
i do, over and over again, but if you just use a website like https://temp-mail.org/en/ and verify the account, they seem to not give a shit. If you try to make an account without an email address youll get shadowbanned in a couple days.
the mobile site seems to eat comments and messes up the sorting if you look at more than 100 comments and doesn't load all comments when looking at a series of comments. it's just a pain to navigate.
I think I've made like 4 posts on Reddit since finding out about this place. It had become one of those places I used to go to for the sole purpose of getting angry. So I dropped it, just like all the other sites I'd visit to get angry.
Once in a while I need to use Reddit to find info that I need but I no longer browse. Apollo getting killed made it easy to dump. Even before, I’d really only ever browse r/traa and some other queer subs.
I deleted my account, but admit that I do go there to read the /deprogram and /covid19 stuff sometimes. Every time there is some horrible reactionary local brainworm infested nationalism posts and such on the opening page that seems to show me stuff based on location.
I mostly stopped using Reddit after CTH got banned. I would still lurk and occasionally comment on some niche subs I liked like r/HobbyDrama, but now I'm pretty much done unless someone links me to something over there
The only time I go to reddit anymore is if someone on hexbear links to it.
To be honest, I also sometimes visit it if I "google" something (duckduckgo actually) and the most relevant results that turn up are reddit posts. Unfortunately that happens a lot.
Also, I saw @Weedian@hexbear.net mentioning he got hardware banned and you were skeptical. That is definitely a thing. Reddit does all kinds of shady shit like that that you never hear about. For example, I am vote-banned. Any account I make with any device I used back when r/chapotraphouse got banned does not have the ability to upvote or downvote. Reddit took away my god given democratic right to
Only try to check the trueanon sub occasionally however none of the redirects consistently work. Search results also usually end up there which is incredibly annoying.
Twitter is dying and I’ve found nowhere else where I can so easily dunk on libs. I was off reddit for years but now I’m back, baby, at least until I get banned again.
I was basically in r/cth and maybe a few other subs by 2018 or so, eventually becoming just r/cth. After 2020 I still had an account which I'd use maybe a couple times a month for a brief scroll. Nothing has really been engaging since we were banned. Since June I think I browsed one or two times.
