The right-wing commentariat’s decade-long shift from near-universal antagonism to Russia to eager amplification of Kremlin propaganda has helped create the environment for Trump’s recent moves selling out Ukraine in favor of an effective alliance with Putin.

  • Really, the only reason why it took as long as it did was because of so many right-wing voters still associating Russia with the Soviet Union.

    • Yeah, and it's kind of ironic that the US is having it's Yeltsin moment at the same time as Russia is desperately trying to re-form the Soviet Union.
