House arrest followed by jail based on statements he made about fleeing the country. So just held until trial, I guess. Not sure where that fell apart but I haven't kept up recently.
Trump had the state department pressure Romania to let Tate leave the country before trial
Spending time in jail is meaningless. Jail is where you go when you are awaiting trial. Prison is where you go if you're convicted.
Understand that for most of the population those words are interchangeable.
Which is why I defined the difference.
