I wish I could say I knew what you mean - but I installed Summit on my phone when I joined Lemmy, installed Summit when my phone came back from repair, and installed Summit when I bought my new phone last month.
I am a simple man, and I fuckin' love Summit yeaaahhh boiiii
Can't speak for what the dev is all about, but they're sound as fuck whenever I've interacted with them, and there's a lot of work being done with frequent releases.
Very open to community requests too so if there's an feature missing and it's requested, there's a good chance it'll turn up sooner rather than later.
I gotta say as someone who has never used an iPhone, Voyager is absolutely amazing. Before lemmy I was using Infinity for Reddit and it feels relatively similar to me
I kind of hate to agree with you. I'm huge anti-apple but for mobile UI they just have it hammered down. Leave the Settings alone though... I tried to use the iOS Settings app one and was completely lost
Which is a shame, because I really haven't found anything similar enough to Boost that's actively being worked on. The UI for Voyager and Connect just don't really allow me to use/customize them how I want to.
Why did you leave voyager? I just left Boost after realizing it was paid (my dns was likely blocking the ads), that I wasn't paying, and that due to this I was being tracked by advertisers... Super salty about this.
Voyager is okay so far, only minor issues. But yeah, I feel you either way haha.

Replying with Summit to agree with you that it's the best. Reminds me of baconreader in the olden days.
Trying that one out now!
It's nice to remember why love Lemmy (the tech community that makes apps, the people willing to stand up for their morals).
