So I've noticed every time I try to register notifications it freezes and I have to quit and it goes nowhere...

What do guys. I would kill for Memmy notifying me when I get answers/responses

The app seems to be abandoned at this point. I would suggest looking at some of the other options. Bean, Voyager, Avelon, and Liftoff are all great options on iOS.
- Is that the consensus? I don't wanna beat up on like one of the first devs/realistic replacements for Apollo/Reddit in its image that really opened a lot of doors and arguably contributed to Lemmy's proliferation (at least with this n=1).
  Hopefully he jumps in and chimes in at some point but, wherever you are, you are loved and youmve created a real thing of beauty.

  I’m certainly not here to beat up on them at all. I think they were VERY ambitious and sort of set the tone for app development which definitely helped me feel more comfortable as I came over from Reddit. The facts are the facts though. They’ve been almost entirely radio silent and there haven’t been any commits to GitHub in like a month. Maybe it’s just a long break so they can breathe after a crazy dev cycle, but the overall silence isn’t a great sign and I moved on because of it.
- Would also add Arctic to the list. The dev is very communicative with his community and has been releasing regular updates. The app is very stable, even though it’s just a TestFlight release and runs extremely fast (Avelon is also very fast too).
  It also has fully working mod tools now, which almost none of the others have.
  
  Both of those are great however, the interface is a little cluttered compared to other more polished apps, such as Bean.
Same - the app seems to be running kinda… not great lately. It’s been a long time since an update through test flight though.
- He's a good dev+ guy, it must be a great deal of work and maintenance
To be fair, I don't see notifications implemented in any other app, TestFlight or AppStore-published. Am I crazy here?
- Lemmios has working notifications. You can even set up an alert system to send a notification whenever a new post is made in a specific community.
  
  They're the only ones tho? I get that a lot of them are still TestFlight(y) but I kinda don't want that to be the dictating feature that compels which I use. I mean, I guess I don't "need" it per se, might even be better off that way. I'm very choosy about what apps get to ping me all day and their behaviour/intrusiveness determines which get a voice and which are silenced.

Memmy notification does not work on lemmy.world instance.
- Does that generalize or is it a Memmy-specific issue? I'd like to donate to help the guy out since it is my favorite as an aside. I'm deeply affectionate of it
  
  It’s Memmy specific. Memmy use a server to fetch your notification and trigger a push notification on your phone. Lemmy.world block Memmy server because it must make too many requests.
