Matrix's Code of Conduct says that they will not act on CoC violations that they find ideologically congenial. That's a blank check for harassment, and it applies to every forum which might be used for technical coordination around Matrix.
Is this decentralised tho? Because that's the only thing that matters, as long as it's server based they can become like Reddit. I am not returning to centralised medias and messengers lol
Benefits over discord? I use discord to video chat with my out of town buddies. That's about it. What are some reasons I should switch? This isn't a loaded question btw, I've been a fan of FOSS and a free and open internet since I was a kid in the 90s. Grew up on anarchist punk and all.
