Yeah these are real, actionable threats. The world should be banding together in a military alliance against the US at this point because they are by far the biggest threat.

A "small invasion" of Mexico, Canada as the 51st state is a "great idea", controlling Greenland is an "absolute necessity", and he also wants the Panama Canal to return to US control to boot. Is our big wet boy trying to, like, speedrun expansionism?

Wow, that fast? They must be actually nervous that the US will try to conquer it.
There's no way that happens though right?. That'd be the death blow to NATO surely

Maybe Trump will pull out of NATO first, at the end of the day it's not like Europe is going to stop being dependent on the US military industry if that happens. If anything, without NATO there's probably going to be a panic leading to Europe to arm more which will translate to more contracts for US companies.

The article itself seems to be saying that this "defense boost" was something Denmark was already planning on doing, and Trump's remark really just coincidentally came just before they actually signed off on it. The Danish defense minister, Troels Lund Poulsen, called the timing an "irony of fate".
The article describes the boost as encompassing the following:
- Two new inspection ships.
- Two new long-range drones.
- Two new dog sled teams.
- Increased staffing at Arctic Command.
- Upgrades to a civilian airport to be able to handle supersonic fighter jets.
It's worth noting that the Arctic Command carries out a lot of tasks other than just defense per se, and as SoyViking pointed out, Danish military buildup in Greenland is largely due to anti-Russian paranoia rather than anything to do with Seppoland.

Maybe Trump's threats made them move the announcement of the plans but these plans has been under way a long time before Trump won. Danish military buildup in the Arctic has a lot more to do with anti-Russian paranoia than with fears of Trump.
