After Musk helped tank a bipartisan bill to fund the government, Trump told conservative activists that he hadn't "ceded the presidency" to the tech billionaire.
“No, he’s not going to be president, that I can tell you,” Trump said. “And I’m safe. You know why he can’t be? He wasn’t born in this country.”
As you know a true leader has to keep saying they're the real leader
And the speaker is in line to be president if Trump and Vance "happen" to die.
The U.S. Constitution and the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 outline the presidential order of succession. The line of succession of cabinet officers is in the order of their agencies’ creation.
Vice President
Speaker of the House
I mean Trump is obsessed with ignoring the Constitution to stay president until he dies. Why wouldn't that be used against him by Musk ?
Not constitutionally no. He doesn't meet the requirement to be president which requires you to be born as a US citizen
Edit: also it seems like Johnson was moreso making a jab at musk in his comments about the difficulty of the job - rather than actually making him a genuine offer
