I wonder how much the total energy is in the tidal waves worldwide.

The main question with these things is how long they last. The sea is unforgiving.

- I'm not sure what challenges wave power faces that tidal doesn't, but the Rance tidal power station in France has been operating since 1966.
How many Mega Watts is the wave power itself? The whole project is only 20MW. A wind turbine is between 2 and 16MW depending on the size, so sounds like this would be equivalent to a few wind turbines?
- Presumably while winds are intermittent, tides are constant.
Have they considered implementing this technology in Mexican football stadiums?
