The other day I listened to the whole album after I mentioned hearing Head Like a Hole on the classic rock station in 2000. Such a good album.
This is the track that got an angsty, agnostic teenager into NIN many many years ago. I had a knockoff Casio keyboard I bought at Radioshack and taught myself to layer its GM synth sounds into something resembling the synth patch in the chorus here. Good times!
I'm clearly biased but this sure has aged well IMO!
