No idea, but I feel like Egon goes hard as a Pokémon name. Had it been part of the early generations then it would definitely have been a normal/ghost type and just been a straight rip-off of the villain from Ghostbusters II. It would have been the third of the weird humanoid Pokemon from that gen (Mr. Mime and then the racist charicature).
That doesn't feel like it has so much to do with the name again though, I feel like theres a vibe to the sounds E-gon that the Japanese would do something cool with. Could be a rock type (or whatever the stone Pokémon type is) or electric type or it could just be lil guyUhhhh

Psychic/dark type, just a bunch of jagged geometric shapes connected by threads of pure darkness that seem to constantly fold in on themselves. The shapes twitch and blink, and a constant chorus of screams and moans emanates from the mass.
