If I had a good concept of Rhode Island's size beyond 'smaller than all of the other states,' that would be a useful description.

10 0 ReplyIs Rhode Island the state smaller than any U.S. city?
4 0 ReplyIt's 4 times larger than LA.
6 0 ReplyIt's closer to 2-3 times larger, depending how you count
Rhode Island is 1545 sq mi, 1034 of which are land.
Los Angeles (the city, not the county) is 501.55 sq mi, 469.49 of which are land.
So by total area, Rhode Island is 3.08 times the size of Los Angeles.
Counting only land, Rhode Island is only 2.20 times the size of Los Angeles.
4 0 ReplyThanks. That's what I thought.
