Yeah my best friend's cat Micky (also rip) was a fiend for shoes. He'd get mad at you for leaving because you were taking your shoes with you.

One of mine absolutely loves to shover her head down shoes. Sometimes she gets a little stuck and it sounds like a one legged man is hopping around my kitchen at 3am.
that cat sounds adorable
My old dog, Jessie, would do something like that. I don't remember, because she stopped by the time I was old enough, but we had a picture of her sleeping soundly with her whole snout inside of my dad's dress shoe. Super cute.
