i agree, but in fairness here most aussies actually agree with kyle and fuckn hate trump - this is just Jack Black throwing his friendship of 30 years under the bus for that sweet Nintendo/Illumination and DNC money
If Nintendo broke ties with everyone that praises assassinations they would have no employees because the vast majority of Japan thinks Shinzo's assassination had a positive effect and he's seen as a hero. People fucking cosplay as him lol
i'd say its more the illumination side of things, considering how many fingers he has in the animated film industry - and especially since he's a public face, rather than rank-and-file

Why is the assumption that JB made this decision AND that it's a slight towards Kyle Gass? Much more likely that their tour manager thought it was best to lay low until the media circus died down.
because the online statement is from him directly (not Tenacious D socials together), states he entirely disagrees with Kyle's actions and unilaterally says all creative plans for the D are cancelled (again, not in a joint statement)
