Man, districts need to be automatically generated based on population from censuses, not some crazy game of fuck as many people over as we can Tetris.

Don't worry, then the census data itself becomes the target for fuckery. Which is basically what happened during Trump's presidency.
There's a bill in Congress now to insert a citizenship question into the next Census. I assume it's unlikely to go beyond the House, but they definitely haven't given up.
Just no more fucking districts for federal positions. Proportional representation for that. Senators also, no more of this staggered six year bullshit.
