What a limp dick military the entire country of Iran has. They need to stop reading religious books while oppressing women and start reading strategy books while praising women.
Are you arguing that Iran should have tried harder? They explicitly said the attack was meant to show they will respond to actions like Israel's bombing of their embassy in Syria, and have now stated they consider the attack is concluded. Israel has already given their security council the go-ahead to respond so they don't need to get any further approval for whatever they decide. We'll see if Israel chooses to keep on escalating.
I'm arguing that they shouldn't respond by Leeroy Jenkins their entire fleet of drones and rather use diplomacy and also spent their money from shitty drones to actually fucking improving the lives of the people in their own country.
You mean like Israel used diplomacy when it bombed the Iranian embassy, literally the most undiplomatic thing you can do?
As far as spending money on improving people's lives, that's great advice but it's also terribly hypocritical coming from (I assume) a US point of view. The US should stop spending the many, many billions of dollars sent to Israel to kill dirt-poor oppressed innocents and improve the lives of their own citizens. Then there would be no need to institutionally violate human rights like in the case of forced prison labor which earns Alabama alone 450 million a year and is just legalized slavery. I mean, literally just yesterday it was reported that Florida signed a law prohibiting worker protections from overheating in spite of the fact that overheating deaths are setting new records every year now. So while there's undeniably merit to the idea that money should go to improving lives, as far as your criticism that Iran doesn't: those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Don't know why you are trying to steer the conversation away with what-about-isms when the topic I am talking about is concerning the peanut brain Iranian military getting their entire fleet of millions of dollars shot down without any consideration of air defense making it the equivalent of setting a pile of money on fire instead of improving their country.
A single US state is North America can out produce the entire country of Iran and has better quality of life and personal freedom.
Was it their entire capability, or was it just a proportional response meant to show their willingness to act? I'd love it if you had some facts on that because you seem really sure Iran couldn't have done more.
I rebutted your idea that Iran should have been diplomatic when in fact Israel is clearly the (illegally) undiplomatic aggressor in this case. I also acknowledged the merits of your argument about spending money but also the hypocrisy of it. Telling you to take your own advice before you feel justified acting haughty isn't whataboutism because I never used my examples to try and negate your argument.
I mean, that's the thing, US/UK paid for all the rockets that were used to destroy the drones. And drones are cheap, unlike those rockets that cost close to 100k per rocket. So American taxpayers are the ones that got a raw deal out of Israel violating and then pissing and shitting on the international law protecting embassies that even US, China, and Russia doesn't break.
Iran: oppressing women, religion, wasting ressources, limp dick
USA: praising women, rational thought, outperforming, big potent dick
To me this looks like binary construction of reality, wich helps to avoid critique of your own society by externalizing it on the outside.
Just an idea, but this might be interesting to consider:
How is the US doing on "praising women" lately?
How about bad decisions being justified with religion?
Directing ressources? (Distribution of wealth)
And does the Penis metaphor actually help you to find an adequate critical stance to politics and your society?
Will this way of going about critique/understanding of our societies help us?
Maybe, does it help the permaboner, christian, antifeminist, billionairfriendly "performers"?
