  • my main vector for criticizing an israeli facial recognition tech sales pitch given to my synagogue on our israel trip was "but what about the hong kong protests" blob-no-thoughts

    • to be fair to myself I was sixteen and like a day later I had the brain break that sent me leftward

      • oh god I also remember in 2016 I remember thinking "i mean it would be kinda funny if trump won" on election day and when he did I half-sincerely believed for like a day that I manifested it and was self-flagellating for the entire week internally because I thought I had wrought neo-naziism unto the world or something. I was 13 and hadn't killed my solipsistic streak quite yet dafoe-horror
