Gotta say, jeansposting is my least favorite lemmy trend so far
Bean posting was just a decades old rehash of a trend. It's really not much better.
At least with Stroganoff, it had a funny origin(Google Opinion Survey asking if you want "important updates about Beef Stroganoff").
Most of these are just "hrrr drrr this is dumb so let's trend it".

Lemmy is basically reddit. It's not any better than reddit was, it doesn't have some enlightened users etc. It's par for the course.

i'm from reddit, I even chose my instance because it seemed (and has been) welcoming to migrators like me.
On one hand the jeans memes feel a bit forced into the beans/stroganoff mold I can certainly understand those who feel like that.
On the bigger, better hand though, it's free content people are making for me to consume and I like that way better than when people aren't making stuff to look at because I am way too lazy to make my own stuff for others to look at.
