I'm ACAB all day, but dispatchers help with fires and medical emergencies as well, doesn't really seem like they fall completely under the same umbrella.
You get a pass for helping cops in the field hunt down a poor person because you helped firefighters get to a fire in time?
Does any fire and medical assistance nullify police work? Can a beat cop administer first aid after jailing a stoner for it to be a different umbrella? How about if Chauvin had volunteer firefighter in his youth?
A straw man is when you put words in someone's mouth, not when you ask them if they agree with a statement.
If you agree with those statements, then ACAB means nothing because anything is a loophole. If you disagree, then why make an exception for the dispatcher?
Regardless, it's not a strawman. That isn't a word to just mindlessly parrot whenever someone disagrees with you, it actually refers to a tactic people use in disagreements that hasn't happened here.
That article backs up what I said, making up your opponents argument (i.e. putting words in their mouth) is a strawman argument.
Asking someone if they agree with a statement is very different than acting as if they made that statement. The latter is a strawman, the former is not.
I asked if you agree, because your answer points out the flaw in your reasoning. I never made your argument for you. Try reading the article you just linked.
