But assumptions won't work when it comes to cooking tempretures and it might lead to some people converting a tempreture and ending up with the wrong tempreture
I've never seen anybody use Celsius for cooking. I worked as a cook for five years and I've obviously been around cooking my whole life. It's always ferenheit.
I'm very curious what OPs situation is where they're getting confusing temperatures.
I've never seen any cooking appliances that use ferenheit and only seem to see that as a temperature in American recipes. But even without the units for temperature it's obvious in those because I'm having to convert all the other measurements too.
So I agree that it seems strange that op can't use such clear contextual clues.
