I just wish we could get along.
The fact that other people are starting to notice what I have noticed for the past few years means it might actually be real, and that fucking terrifies me. I don't want genocide or civil war. But apparently that's where we're headed.
I too, wish our political problems would just go away and we could get back to being Americans again.
The crux of the issue is that a good portion of the US has been convinced the only way back to "being American" is through use of their amassed arsenal. They're aging out. With fewer and fewer voters leaning their way they try and go dirty which didn't work, leaving them their only card left to play, "civil war". The issue none of them care to address is the fact that 90+% of their forces are on daily medication just to live. If war really broke out, access to those medications get severed. Another thing is it may seem enjoyable for them to feel like they're participating at a turning point in our history but war isn't something an individual can just stop doing because it's been a hard day and they need to unwind with a cold one.
Mostly it feels like bluster but I've seen plenty of stupid transpire in my short lifetime to know anything can and does happen.
