I'm not defending this scumbag at all, but being locked up is not a good time.3 1 ReplyFlorida Statute Section 787.01 imposes a mandatory minimum of 4 years for kidnapping and a maximum of up to life imprisonment. 5.5 years is just shy of the bare minimum he could have gotten.
