It's gorgeous!
I had always been embarrassed by the color. I was a long haired heavy rock playing dude, and that color was not cool.
It’s lived in the case for decades only coming out for recording. About a year ago I got a new amp and was trying different guitars at rehearsal and my band mates said how much they liked the color. It was weird, here I was keeping it away for decades and now people are telling me it’s cool. Life’s weird. I also bought an Olympic White Stratocaster from the same guy, same day. He sold me both for $700. I played the white one but the blue one stayed home. You can really see the wear and tear on the white one.Funny, I love the colour though! Kirk Hammett played one similar in the I Disappear video, but opinions vary on how cool he is.
When I saved up and got my first guitar when I was like 15 in like 98 all I wanted was a strat in Seafoam green or sonic blue but they didn't make the one I could afford in either. This color was cool to me always.
