Oh, come on, I'm pretty sure 12 Angry Men could get made again in the right context.
Family Guy did a parody episode of it a while back.
Why could T2 not get made?
Look at all the sequels and tell me if they are even on the same level of quality as T2.
idk, making a bad movie is always possible, just as making a good one. I interpreted the OP question as "can't get made due to cultural taboos" not business reasons.
You're not wrong. T2 would be garbage today with the CGI. Having to use practical effects made it so much better.
