Counterpoint: Landlord hate on this website is totally out of proportion to the immorality of being a landlord. We don't see nearly the same level of hate for other petit-bourgeois types. Nobody talks gleefully about a dealership owner being hacked apart with a sword, but when such a story comes along about a landlord, everyone posts sickos and crabs. To borrow a point from the person you're replying to, would you support the swindler if the old man had signed over a 401k? Probably not, and yet the 401k is no less a bourgeois asset extracting value from working class people; no less parasitic in truth, just more abstractly so.
That's not comparable. The 401k is not extracting value from one specific person who could then end that exploitation by obtaining it, like what's happening here.
I have no idea how you're getting that from that. Obviously the sentence is a grammatical mess but the fact that income, property, house, etc are singular implies that you're wrong.
You're just trying to force that interpretation to try to win an argument lol.
Yeah, I think it is, actually, normal to get pissed when someone is a shithead to you. Sorry to misinterpret your intent, but I do still think it was a shitty thing to have said to me to begin with, given that I obviously thought the guy might end up impoverished.
