What’s funny is that anyone thinks this vehicle is any good for off roading. Like look at the surface contact of the wheels, look at the curb weight, I’m sorry but it’s not going to handle anything more adverse than a gravel road well.
Is it because it’s a truck and for some reason people think all pickups are good at off-roading? Like, some are, most aren’t. Large vehicles are not better at off roading, in fact they’re usually worse without being modified or designed for the task.

  I found all the early "Took my Cybertruck off roading today!" type posts on social media hilarious. Inevitably it was a Cybertruck slowly crawling down some dirt road that a micro car could dive on without trouble.

- Large wheels should be better for off roading. A lot of the trucks that are bad at off roading is because they are rear wheel drive and all of their weight is up front so the rear tire just slip.
  People deflate their tires sometimes before driving onto sandy beaches because it will increase the surface area and help them get stuck less supposedly. I honestly can't say if that helps much. Seems like a mild change, because you don't want to drive on the rims haha
  
  yes, but the longer the vehicle, the smaller a bump has to be to bottom it out or high center it, because the wheel distance is longer. meaning the front wheels go down the other side of the bump sooner while the back wheels aren't even on it yet.

  Sarcasm aside yeah length/width/center of gravity will all come into play eventually.

  Stuff like ground clearance, fancy differentials and all wheel drive will go a long way. But at the end of the day, all things being equal, less weight spread over more surface contact will get you a lot further. There’s a reason the old Suzuki Jimny/samuri’s are so renowned despite literally being Kai cars.
