I understand full well the bargain that was made after WW2. America trades it's useless paper slips for goods in countries with low or no regulations. As a result manufacturing etc was hollowed out. I didn't make that decision.
I still prefer a bronze age tier collapse over whatever "revolution" you're talking about where anyone who disagrees gets lined up and shot. The world will become multipolar and balkanize. It is a better path forward than the musings of the "marxist-leninists" on Lemmy. People have nationalities, religion, culture and want borders between them and the other. A 19th century political philosophy isn't doing to change that. It will just cause a lot of people to die.

The place I grew up in was right next to a border which is a river, during the summer me and my friends would sometimes swim to the other side to get an ice cream and a coke, now over there I could still speak in my mother tongue, they didn't have a different culture really they were pretty much the same as me and no one was mad that a few youths didn't care much that they crossed some imaginary line.
'Nationalities' and 'cultures' are often even younger than literally '19th century political philosophy' like the German empire didn't exist until 1871 so someone like Karl Marks wasn't German he was Prussian at least according to his nationality, France had to spend centuries to eliminate other languages and there's still pockets of speakers of different languages in it speaking Basque, Occitan and even Dutch, this is such an ignorant take that only a yank could come up with because you live in an actual wasteland and it's not even true for your own country you just never bothered to look further than the little kingdom that is your lawn in suburbia.

People want their material needs met, and when they get that in an unequal manner under the capitalist system, they want to enforce a border that enables the exploitation of the underclasses to continue. They follow along when the capitalist hegemony points the finger at other nationalities, religions and cultures cause they have no theoretical grounding. We have seen this recently with trump and co. Saying "see those sweatshop slaves in Asia? They need to pay their fair share! These tariffs will fix that" and the seals bark and clap for him.
A 19th century political philosophy isn't doing to change that.
Implying that a political philosophy developed in direct response to capitalism isn't relevant in the still-capialist global mode of production.
Implying that Marxist political philosophy hasn't evolved since Marx. Hint: "Marxism-Leninism" was developed from and after Lenin, making it literally a 20th century development. Maoism later than that, not to mention other newer strains of Marxist theory that are adapted to current material conditions of the 21st century.

Implying that the Russian and Chinese revolutions (etc) "just caused a lot of people to die" and there's nothing else, positive or negative, that can be learned from these events. Implying that all was well and peaceful before the communists just showed up one day and started killing everyone who disagreed.
I don't even consider myself "M-L" or whatever, but I encourage you to develop a deeper analysis of these philosophies and historical events. They are going to have a larger and larger effect on your life as the PRC becomes the primary driver of the global economy that you participate in (whether or not you agree with their particular actions and activities)

Sorry, but I was making a display of layered Hexbear irony. There is no transition plan to support a revival of domestic production. The stage is set not for that, but to turn the US interior to a resource colony, illiterate with a life expectancy of 40. Without a social revolution, that's what's in the cards.
